Shazia

Well, quite frankly I was curious how the white anchors would look behind the black coloured hardware used to secure our exterior window solar shades. After placing the white anchors on our white window frame, I waited until the next day before applying the male part of the hardware. This is the recommended approach by the exterior window screen manufacturer to allow the adhesive of the anchor to strengthen.

Black Male Hardware on White Anchor

This first picture above shows the black make hardware snapped into position on top of the newer white anchors for the screen.

Yes, to me it does stand out a little more than the black on black.

However, this is before the black EZ Snap exterior window screen is put in place. This would be the real determination of appearance.

EZ Snap Exterior Window Screen Back In Place

In this next picture, we have done just that; specifically, I have placed the screen on top of the male EZ Snap hardware and then applied the female finishing hardware. This looks really good. One does not even see the hardware behind the screen.

Remember, when you place the screen on top of the male hardware not to stretch it too tight. There is no need to do so.

And, I can also tell you that both the male and female hardware have been re-engineered to allow for them to be put in place much easier than when I purchased the product 2 years ago. Very nice.

EZ Snap Installed

So, there you have it. the now white adhesive anchors do look better against the white window frame for those who remove the EZ Snap exterior solar window shades over the winter. And, as an added bonus, the male and female portions of the anchoring hardware are easier to put on.

Nice.
